Issues #1 - 7 -- "To Serve and Protect" 7-issue storyline After he was presumed dead or missing, a disoriented Steve Rogers suddenly wakes up in Tokyo one year after his disappearance. He finds the amped up idolization of Captain America, almost like a Jesus resurrection event, to be a very concerning situation. He's all grumpy about it, but part of his foul mood is related to him losing his trusty shield in the middle of the dang ol' ocean.
