Self-Contained All-New X-Men (Vol. 1) storylines and collections:

Issues #1 - 5 -- "Yesterday's X-Men" 5-issue storyline Cyclops has been a bad boy lately, and he currently aspires to round up any and all brand new mutants he can find to start a mutant revolution. The concern here is that he's going to start being genocidy and start genociding humans! Because of this concern, Beast travels back in time to try to convince Young Cyclops, and the rest of the young original X-Men, to come back with him and tell Cyclops to stop being such a silly goose.

Issues #6 - 10 -- "Here to Stay" 5-issue storyline Sounds like the Young X-Men are "here to stay", as it were. Knowing that their pasts won't bode well for the futures (especially the Jean Grey dying part), the youngins decide they may as well stay where they're at and help work on the future. Meanwhile, Mystique not only manipulates Young Scott, but she helps bust Lady Mastermind out of Supervillain Prison. They have no agenda other than make as much money as they can, and they will have no mercy on anyone who gets in their way.
