Issues #1 - 5 -- "Alias Investigations" 5-issue storyline Ex-Avenger (sorta) Jessica Jones runs an independent private investigation firm. She gets hired by a woman to look into her sister's odd behavior. What begins as a simple investigation spirals out of control into murder, government conspiracy, and coverups.

Issues #6 - 9 -- "B Level" 4-issue storyline Jessica Jones is hired by a woman to find her husband. Her husband is named Rick Jones, the guy who was involved in Bruce Banner becoming the Hulk. Jessica Jones is not related. Jones is a popular name, man. As she investigates, she finds out that this this Rick Jones guy is more than he may seem... or less than he may seem, as it turns out, actually.
